American Water encourages our current employees to refer people that they know for open positions. And, if your friend is hired, you will be paid a Referral Award!
Referring a friend has never been easier. Visit Careers@AmericanWater to search for current postings. You can search by location, business unit, function, keyword and more.
Here are a some of the popular benefits of the Employee Referral Program:

You can send your friends an e-mail that includes a direct link to the job posting. If you find a job you think would be right for someone you know, simply click on the "Refer This Job to a Friend" button on the jobs details page to e-mail the posting to your friend. They will receive an e-mail with a link to the job description where they can then read it and apply. If your friend is hired, you'll get a Referral Award. The Referral Award is based on the new hire's salary level and will be paid after the new employee starts with American Water.
