Low Income Program

Sometimes customers face circumstances that stretch their financial resources. Arizona American Water is here to assist. Our customer service representatives will work with you on a plan to pay the balance of your bill over time. You may also be qualified to receive assistance through our H2O Help to Others Program™.

Payment Arrangements

If you cannot pay your bill by the due date, please contact our customer service center immediately, before the due date. Our customer service representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800-383-0834. They will work with you on a plan to pay the balance of your bill over time.

These payment arrangements may require you to:

• Pay at least 25% of your bill within 48 hours of your call

• Pay the rest of the bill, including any applicable late payment charge, according to an agreed upon schedule, not to exceed 6 months

• Pay all future bills as they become due

• Only customers who have not broken similar agreements in the past twelve months are eligible to make these payment arrangements

H20 Help to Others Program

At Arizona American Water, we believe fresh, clean water is a resource that should be made available to everyone. That is why we developed the Sun City Low Income Water Rate Discount to provide assistance to low-income households.

With this program, eligible customers can apply for a monthly discount on their water charges. Household members must be over the age of 65 and eligibility is determined by the household’s gross annual income. If your household meets the eligibility requirements, assistance will be provided in the form of a monthly discount.

*NEW* Homeowners Association members (HOA) can now also apply for the low income credit. Through our partnership with The Sun City Taxpayers Association we will assist those customers to make sure they are credited through their HOA's. If you are a member of an HOA please sign up for the program through the Sun City Taxpayers Association. Forms are also available at our Sun City Office.
